How does the fixed price work?
After the technical assessment, we deliver a detailed quote, with each item and VAT listed. The agreed price is the final price. Any change only happens if you request and approve it in writing.
What if I’m not in Madeira?
No problem. We send photos and videos of each stage and run progress reviews by video call, so you can follow everything remotely with full transparency.
How long does a renovation take?
It depends on the scope, but we set a clear deadline in the quote and commit to meeting it. We keep you informed at every stage.
Which areas of the island do you cover?
We serve the whole of Madeira island, including Funchal, Calheta, Câmara de Lobos, Santa Cruz, Machico, Ribeira Brava, Ponta do Sol, São Vicente, Santana, Porto Moniz and Porto Santo. Tell us where the property is and we’ll confirm availability.
How does the site visit work?
We come to the site, assess what needs doing and give you a detailed quote, item by item. You are under no commitment to proceed.
Do you offer a warranty?
Yes. Every project is delivered with a warranty. If something isn’t as agreed, we fix it.
Do you work with English-speaking clients and expats?
Yes. We manage projects in English for foreign owners and expats living in Madeira, including holiday homes, second residences and short-term rentals. All quotes, updates and reports are provided in English.
Can you manage a renovation while I’m abroad?
Absolutely. Many of our clients live outside Portugal. We handle the entire project on your behalf, send regular photo and video updates, and hold video-call reviews so you can approve progress from anywhere.
Do you issue invoices with VAT (fatura com NIF)?
Yes. Helplar Madeira is a registered Portuguese company. Every quote and invoice includes VAT itemised and can be issued with your NIF for accounting or tax purposes.
Can you help with short-term rental properties?
Yes. We renovate and maintain short-term rental properties across Madeira, coordinating works between guest stays to minimise downtime.
